This brand new 4-week program was developed by James “Combo Marino” with one idea in mind; if I could go back and teach my younger self to get to the level I am at now while saving time, money and effort; how and what would I teach myself?

This is it.

Let this program be your guide to get you started in understanding your body awareness without the pressure of being rushed in a class setting or worried about what you look like around others before you feel confident. This program literally teaches you key movements “from the ground up” throughout the 4 week course.

Week 1: Footwork standing on one leg

  • Focus on balance on one leg

  • How to move your leg in multiple directions with changing your weight

  • How to move your hips in the different directions so that you can move with fluidity in every direction.

Week 2: Moving Footwork

  • Focus on how to travel and move your hips with your legs

  • Complete Weight changes and weight shifts

  • Learn 2 step, 3 step turn, and how to walk and move on beat in all directions

Week 3: Keeping Time, Staying on beat, Intro to grooving

  • Learn how to stay on beat with every part of your body

  • Feel grounded in your grooving

Week 4: Arms, Line pattern, and the Ball change

  • Learn Clean line patterns to gain spatial control

  • Learn how to create strength in your dancing through the concept of contracting and releasing your muscles

  • Start to learn how to add arm and leg pattern work together

It instructs you how to isolate different parts of your body and how to use these parts effectively. Then after knowing how your body can operate, you can step into any dance class or learn any style easier because you will have a foundation of how your body works no matter the style.
